Dear Oxford Standard College students, Alumni, staff and the general public,

We are very pleased with God to announce that Oxford Standard College Korinya has been given WAEC center effective as of 1st February, 2022 inspection.

It has been a long journey and our success is very shared. Your prior engagement, perseverance, feedback, and the tireless commitment of our students and staff have brought us to this crossroads. We thank you all for your contribution to the school’s growth and maturation that only God can explain.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is an international body for SSCE established in 1952 after the Governments of Ghana (then Gold Coast), Nigeria, Sierra Leone and The Gambia enacted the West African Examinations Council Ordinances in 1951.

Presenting the report to the management after thorough inspection by the WAEC Team, the state led inspector Mr Adedapo Cornelius and the entire accreditation team, commended the school's effort and their sincerity. "For over years now, I have never seen science teachers presenting exactly what is on ground" he added. However, he urged the school to put a parameter fence to tighten the security and put in more structures.

Reacting to the gesture, the principal on behalf of the Proprietor Hon. Chief Iorbee Nomor thanked the team with a promise to adhere to WAEC guidelines and even do more to enable us have the standard as named.
